Nagpur: A dozen of ST buses were operated since beginning of the limited services on the fourth day today and out of them three buses arrived from Bhandara and one from Amravati. The number of operation of buses is increasing gradually.
Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) started operation of the buses from Monday with only two buses in Nagpur district, followed by eight and seven buses during the last two days.
One ST bus arrived at Ganeshpeth Main Bus Station on Thursday and left back to Amravati. Shrikant Gabhne, Divisional Controller, MSRTC, Amravati, Amol Gadbail, Mechanical Engineer, and some officers reached Nagpur independently to check the situation here, such as number of passengers etc.
Moreover, three buses from Bhandara reached here today and went back there during the day. MSRTC operated eight buses from Ganeshpeth for different places in the district such as Ramtek, Umrer, Saoner, Katol, Kalmeshwar and others.
Reliable sources informed that in all 631 passengers, including 30 students travelled by the buses that covered a distance of 1240 km. The revenue earned today was around Rs 36,000/-, sources pointed out.
