It was a night to remember for over a 100 St John’s High School’s former students. The M’s Repose Hall located at Shreeram Towers was full of nostalgic memories as the ex-students relived their old schooling days during the Mega Reunion held last Saturday. The Mega Reunion was of more significance as it was for the first time that former students of four batches — 1991, 92, 93 and 94 — came under one roof to enjoy and share their cherished memories. The Mega Reunion was organised to bring together alumnus of the school for strengthening bonds between former students and the school.
Former students now based in Pune, Bangalore, Delhi and some from UAE, Germany came to be part of this Mega Reunion and enjoyed the party throughout.
Sandeep Dutta, one of the alumni and organiser of programme, said, “It was my dream to carry out a reunion of all the former students of our school. This was for the first time that students of four batches came together. And it was a great success”.
Another former student Dipen Modi added, “We have carried out many such programmes at our school the unique one was “Dabba Party”, it is the first time we are celebrating reunion outside school premises of four batches. After successfully hosting this Mega Reunion we will plan to organise on a much bigger scale next year.”
“It is really great that this reunion was organized through which I have been able to bring my old friends together and have a time out from my busy life” said Amit Dudhani, another former student and member of the organising team.
An “Introduction Housy” to introduce students to one another from each batch of the school was also played and the former students enjoyed it a lot.
Sandeep Singh, School captain of 1992 batch recalled his schooling days and how he enjoyed the responsibility of being the leader of the institution. Similarly, Mohd Ashfaque Bera, also of 1992 batch entertained all with his soothing voice singing a couple of Bollywood numbers.
The Mega Reunion ended with a promise to come together next year again with more ex-students.
