A speeding and recklessly driver school bus claimed life of a 40-year-old man and injured his daughter near Adamshah Square on Wednesday morning. Lakadganj police has booked the bus driver who was driving St. Xavier’s school bus having registration number MH31 CB-6414.
The deceased Atul Ambhore was a resident of Mangalwari. Around 8 am, he left home to drop his daughter to school on his bike. On his way to school, the school bus coming from opposite direction drove rashly and hit Ambhore’s bike. The bus driver fled the spot.
Ambhore had suffered head injuries while his daughter escaped with minor injuries. Both were rushed to a private hospital in Dhantoli.

Ambhore was declared dead during treatment in the afternoon. Police said that they have seized the bus and are searching for the bus driver.
