Nagpur: Maharashtra Director General of Police (DGP) Rashmi Shukla on Thursday visited the RSS Headquarters in Nagpur and reviewed security measures and deployment of forces outside the sensitive establishment at Mahal, according to media reports.
The reports said that incidentally, Shukla, State’s first woman DGP, had been in-charge of the RSS security around two-and-half decades ago as Zonal DCP in Nagpur. This was her first visit to the RSS Headquarters after taking charge as DGP.

She was accompanied by the police top brass during the visit to the RSS Headquarters. Reports said senior officials from Nagpur explained to the DGP the measures taken, the present security scheme, and safety layers that make RSS headquarters and its office-bearers safe, the reports added.
