Nagpur: Maharashtra Government has drawn an ambitious plan to initiate a slew of development projects in world famous Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) coming under Chandrapur District. Soon those tourist visiting the tiger reserve will have cherishing experience of staying in hut houses as the State Government and Forest Department is expanding the facility within the park on greater proportions. The TATR falls in the home district of State Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar who is also holding the portfolio Forest Ministry. Naturally, the Minister is making all out efforts to create more and more facilities for the tourists.
According to information, the work of constructing the hut houses is planned to be given to the company run by Bollywood star Sunil Shetty. And to have the feel of the proposed hut house and its blueprint, the Forest Minister himself visited Shetty’s Worli-based Hut House Showroom. The employees of the Hut House confirmed the visit of the Minister. The Hut House work initially is at proposal level. Need is being felt that those tourists visiting the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve should enjoy a comfortable stay within the reserve. But the forest laws prohibit cement concrete construction in the reserve. Hence eco-friendly Hut Houses would be ideal in all respects.
It may be recalled that despite a number of tiger reserves in and around Vidarbha and Nagpur, the wildlife tourists mostly prefer Pench Tiger Reserve situated on Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh border for its excellent facilities. The popularity of TATR is increasing day by day and for their comfortable stay more and more facilities have become a necessity. And the Forest Department is working on it zealously. If the information is taken correctly, the Tiger Ambassador Amitabh Bachchan would be among the first to enjoy the Hut House in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve once it is completed.
