Nagpur: The Nagpur (Rural ) police has made strict bandobast in the entire district on account of Ganesh Visarjan on September 27 and 28 for peaceful immersion of as many as 306 Sarvajanik Ganesh idols and 7,284 domestic Ganesh idols this year, informed a press note.
Accordingly, under the guidance of Rural SP Dr Arati Singh, all Sub Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) under their respective jurisdictions will take care of proper bandobast for Ganesh Visarjan including the DRT for striking force and police patrolling squads.
The citizens have been appealed to immediately intimate the police about any suspicious act or object lying in their sight. Similarly, the police squads should not spare any body if found guilty and maintain a strict vigil during Visarjan process. At the same time, the police will maintain law and order as well as strict watch in the sensitive areas.
Dr Arati Singh has appealed to the citizens as well as all Ganeshotsava Mandals of the district to cooperate with police personnel.
