Study pressure drag teen girl to end life

Nagpur News : An alleged study pressure forced a 15-yer-old girl to commit suicide on Tuesday. The deceased, identified as Pranaya Rammurti, was found hanged to the ceiling hook at her residence at railway quarters in Pachpaoli area.

Pranaya was a tenth standard student of Bhola High School in Motibagh. Her father, Adpak, a railway employee, told police that she was disturbed by her poor performance in studies.

Police said that no suicide note was found from Pranaya. She took the extreme step while her parents had gone to nearby hospital for regular check-up.

Adpak told police that, they had left home around 12.10 pm and returned within 50 minutes, by 12.45 pm, and were left shattered to find Pranaya hanging to the ceiling fan. Pranaya’s elder sister had gone to her college while the younger brother was at school.

Pachpaoli police has registered the suicide as a case of an accidental death. Pranaya’s body was sent to Mayo hospital for post mortem.
