The warring factions of NCP will have separate shows of strength in the city today to demonstrate that the bulk of the party’s legislators are with them.
While the Sharad Pawar group has called a meeting of MLAs as well as other party functionaries at 1pm at the Y B Chavan Centre at Nariman Point, deputy CM Ajit Pawar has summoned all the legislators at 11am to the Mumbai Education Trust in Bandra.

A senior leader of the Ajit group told TOI 42 MLAs have signed affidavits in support of him and “by Wednesday, two or three more will sign affidavits”. The chief whip of the faction has issued a whip asking all party MLAs to attend the meeting in Bandra.
