Nagpur: In Nagpur, a scuffle broke out between two expelled Congress leaders, Narendra Jichkar and Deepak Wankhede, over a microphone. The altercation escalated, leading to physical confrontation between their supporters. The incident has now gone viral on social media.
The clash took place during a Navratri event in the Surendra Gad area of West Nagpur, where both leaders were present on stage. Narendra Jichkar began speaking about his contributions when Deepak Wankhede interrupted, stating that the event was not political, and attempted to snatch the microphone from him.
Jichkar’s supporters immediately objected, asking Wankhede to stop. However, Wankhede refused to release the mic, sparking a heated confrontation. Supporters from both sides then joined in, leading to a physical brawl as they tried to wrest control of the microphone.
Jichkar is currently preparing to contest the West Nagpur Assembly seat against Thakre, adding further tension to their long-standing rivalry.
