Nagpur: A 35-year-old unidentified man was brutally murdered in the Pardi area by two persons after they suspected him of stealing a mobile phone.
The accused have been identified as Pramod Haribhau Badwe (42), a resident of Plot No 12/23, Ambe Nagar, Pardi; and Sunny Singh Hari Singh Randhawa (36), a resident of near Naka No 5, near Vikas Garage, Pardi.
The accused, employed as armchair workers, were apprehended by the police. According to police, the incident took place on Saturday morning when Pramod’s mobile phone and money reportedly went missing. Suspecting the 35-year-old man of theft, Pramod and Sunny Singh confronted him.
Despite not finding the missing items during the search, the suspicion persisted and they indulge in a violent confrontation. The victim was struck on the head with a wooden rafter by the accused. He collapsed on the ground in the pool of blood. Pardi police rushed a profusely bleeding man to the hospital where he succumbed to the injuries in the night. The police have registered a case.
