Annual Award Function organized by DAIMSR
Nagpur: One acquires various talents, skills and abilities during their college life only. While some excel in academic pursuits, while others excel in non-academic endeavours. Well, God made everybody different and gave each person different and unique talents and skills. While some realize their unique talents and cultivate it, it remains dormant in others. It is the college where one’s innate talents and abilities are brought out and with a suitable platform they are able to showcase their talents.
Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research, Deekshabhoomi had recently organized their Annual Award Function at Vasant Rao Deshpande Hall, to encourage the students who are excelled in Academics as well as non-academic endeavours.
Recognition of talents boosts the morale
While speaking to Nagpur Today, some students and lecturers said that receiving awards and prizes boosts the morale and the others emulate the prize winners to bring out the best in them too.
Categories: The categories in which the students were awarded were divided into Academics and Non-Academics. While Academics Awards were nominated by the faculty members the Non-Academics Awards were nominated by a voting process by the students of their department.
The objective of organizing Season-3 Annual Awards was to recognize and encourage the positive and discourage the negative traits of the students. Keeping this in mind; the categories for positive awards were as follows: College Ki Jaan (Male/Female), 2. The Style Icon & the Fashionista, 3. Mister & Miss Google and 4. Mister & Miss Pleasing Personality.
Whereas the awards for negative (pun-intended) category were: 1. King and Queen of Last Bench, 2. Mister & Miss Gumshuda, 3. Mister Akela & Miss. Akeli and 4. Prince & Princess of gossip.
A very vibrant and energetic crowd of students of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research boosted the morale of the prize winners with their cheering and applause.
