Nagpur Today: Nandanvan police have arrested a teenager for allegedly raping a minor girl and luring her with a fake marriage proposal. In her statement, the victim stated that the accused raped her repeatedly and had taken her to Bhillai under duress.
The accused identified as Ethilis Bhaudas Dahilinge, aged 19, and a resident of Jai Jalaram Nagar, near Kharbi village, Nandanvan.

Nandnavan police said that the accused Ethilis proposed to marry the victim last year. However, the girl had refused his proposal. Later, Ethilis threatened the girl that he would kill himself and put the blame on her. Scared of his threat, the victim eloped with Ethilis on July 16, 2013.
The 15-year-old girl narrated that Ethilis took her to Bhilai and raped her repeatedly at various places. Meanwhile, the victim’s parents lodged a missing complaint with Nandanvan police who have been searching for her since last year. Ethtilis brought the girl back to Nagpur on Tuesday and Nandanvan police immediately arrested the 19-year-old teenager under rape charges.
The girl was sent to her family after which a complaint was lodged by the victim against Ethilis. Cops have slapped charges of rape against Ethilis under Sections 363, 366, 376 (a) read with sub sections 3 (a) and 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012. Further investigations are in progress.
