Nagpur: A teenage girl committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Jaitala on Saturday. The reason behind the girl taking the extreme step could not be ascertained so far. Surprisingly, a case was registered on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Nikita Bhaskar Gedam (19), resident of Ramabai Nagar, Jaitala. Around 6 am of Saturday, Nikita was found hanging with an odhni to the wooden rafter in her residence.
MIDC ASI Purshottam, based on information provided by the deceased’s father Bhaskar Gedam (52) and a report sent by Pratap Nagar Police Station, has registered a case of accidental death and launched an in-depth investigations into the matter.
