Teenage girl raped by friend in Sadar

Nagpur: Sadar police have booked a youth for rape of a teenage girl. The 16-year old girl in her complaint to police said that her friend Nitesh alias Jitesh Sharad Shankarkar (19), resident of Plot No. 855, near Jain Mandir, Sadar, lured her and called her at Mangalwari Complex around 10.15 pm on Sunday. As she reached the complex, the he raped her forcibly.

Sadar Woman PSI Kulmethe, based on the complaint of the girl, has booked the accused Nitesh Shankarkar under Section 376 of the IPC read with Sub-section 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Further investigation is underway.
