Nagpur: A tragic incident occurred in the Wadi area on Tuesday evening, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old boy, Shivkumar Fakira Sayam.
According to the police, Shivkumar was playing cricket with his friends in an open ground behind Abhijeet Society, Hill Shiv Mandir, when he was struck by lightning. He was rushed to Lata Mangeshkar Hospital for treatment but was declared brought dead by the doctors.
The incident has been registered as a sudden death case at the Wadi Police Station. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and have appealed to anyone with information to come forward.
