Nagpur: Tehsil Police arrested a bikelifter and recovered eight stolen two-wheelers from his possession. The accused was identified as Harsh Sudhakar Khot (20), a resident of NaikTalav, Pachpaoli.
According to police, an Activa moped of Punam Bhavanilal Agrawal (39), a resident of MBA Building, Central Avenue, was stolen by the accused fromTehsil area on Sunday evening.
After receiving a complaint from Agrawal, the police intensified searches and noticed Khot with the vehicle. He was arrested by the police. During interrogation, he confessed to stealing eight vehicles from across the city. The police have recovered the stolen vehicles.
Under the guidance of DCP (Zone III) Gajanan Rajmane, the arrest was made by Sr PI Jayesh Bhandarkar, PI BabanYedge, PSI Swapnil Wagh, ASIs Sanjay Dubey, Pramod Shaniware and staff including Laxman Shende, Kishore Garware, Naxir Sheikh, Atul Thakre, Shambhushing Kirar, Pradip Sontakke, Purushottam Jagnade, Prashant Chachane, Ranjeet Bawane, Pankaj Dabare, Iqbal Sheikh, Pankaj Bagde and Yeshwant Dongre
