Nagpur: The iconic Tekdi Ganesh Mandir has been colourfully decorated on the eve of Angarak Sankashti Chaturthi to be observed on Tuesday, January 10. The world-renowned Temple has been beautifully decorated with floral garlands and flowers to celebrate the occasion.
On this day women observe a day long fast for good health and prosperity of their family. Devotees celebrate the day with reverence and enthusiasm. The temple is visited by a large number of devotees throughout the year, but the number of devotees increases significantly during Sankashti Chaturthi and Ganeshotsav. People have unwavering faith in the deity and come here with reverence in the hope of fulfilling their vows and wishes.
Every month on Sankashti Chaturthi (fourth day of the month), a large number of devotees visit the temple to pay homage to the idol of Lord Ganesha. Ganesh Chaturthi and Ganesh Jayanti are also celebrated every year with great enthusiasm.
