Temporary firecracker licences in Nagpur for Jan 22 festivities

Nagpur: Police in Nagpur have decided to issue temporary licences for sale of firecrackers on the lines of Diwali between January 18 and January 23 in view of Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratishtha Deepotsav -2024’ at Ayodhya.

The Nagpur Zilla Fataka Sangh had urged the City Police to grant temporary licences as the demand for firecrackers was increasing. However, the police decided not to give permission for setting up firecracker stalls/shops at crowded places, including Sitabuldi Main Road, Mahal Gandhi Gate to Gandhi Gate Chowk, Mahal Chowk to Bhosale Wada, Badkas Chowk to Mahal Chowk, Kalyaneshwar Mandir area, Goldibar Chowk to Timki, Indora Chowk to Kamal Talkies Chowk, Teen Nal Chowk to Shahid Chowk, Shahid Chowk to Tonga Stand, Ganjakhet, Hansapuri, Nal Sahab Chowk, Mayo Hospital and Daga Hospital premises, Maskasath, Marwadi Chowk, Medical College premises, Sadar Residency Road and Gokulpeth Market.

The entire nation is gearing up to joyously celebrate Diwali once more in honour of the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. The market is witnessing a significant surge in the sale of firecrackers.

Not only are there continuous orders pouring in from various regions, but the sale of fireworks has also seen a notable uptick in the urban centres and capitals of major states across the country. According to reports, the demand for firecrackers has soared alongside the preparations for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
