New Delhi: In a tragic incident reported from New Delhi, a Class 12 student committed suicide, reportedly in distress over being stalked and harassed by some neighbourhood boys.
The girl was found hanging from the ceiling of her room on Friday at her residence in northwest Delhi’s Bakhtawarpur village.
She left behind a suicide note, written in Hindi, explaining the reason behind her extreme step.

The suicide note read that some boys from the neighbourhood were stalking her and how the subsequent harassment was taking an unbearable emotional toll on her.
Written in an apologetic spirit, the Class 12 student’s last note emphasised how she did nothing wrong, insinuating that her stalking was unwarranted.
The police have now registered an FIR in the case. Meanwhile, the accused are believed to be on the run.
