Thieves strike locked house in Lakadganj; sweep away Rs 1.94 lakh valuables

Unidentified men decamped with booty worth Rs 1.94 lakh from the house of Yashwant Bajirao Bhivgade in Lakadganj locality on Thursday.

Police sources said Yashwant (50), a resident of House No. 564, old Bagadganj, Dhawde Mohalla, was out of town with his family to attend a marriage ceremony. Meanwhile unidentified thieves gained entry into the kitchen by breaking the ventilator glass and broke the door lock from inside. The thieves broke the almirah lock and stole away gold ornaments worth Rs 1.94 lakh.

On the basis of the complaint by Yashwant, Lakadganj police registered an offence under Sections 454 and 380 of the IPC.
