Thieves strike locked house in Mahal; slip away with Rs 2.11 lakh booty

Unidentified thieves broke into the house of Mahal resident Priya Gupta and decamped with booty worth Rs 2.11 lakh.

Ganeshpeth police informed that Priya (34), a resident of Mahal, Gandhi Gate, Johripura, locked her house while she was out of station between June 20 and June 24. Meanwhile, unidentified thieved broke into the house and looted Rs 10,000 and other gold ornaments collectively worth Rs 2.11 lakh. When she returned back, she was shocked to discover the house in a mess. She checked the almirah and found the cash and gold jewellery missing.

She rung Ganheshpeth Police Station and informed them about the theft. Cops have registered an offence under Sections 454, 457, and 380 of the IPC.
