Nagpur: Gabbar Singh, the iconic villainous character from film Sholay played by Amjad Khan, is still remembered and reverred among movie buffs, albeit for the purpose which was surely not his domain. Known to have sent the chills down the spine of every ‘bachcha’ not willing to go to bed, prompting the moms to use his name, Gabbar Singh’s forte has been robbery and killings. Now since the time has evolved Gabbar Singh seems to have been using his ‘threat’ card to bring about awareness among the citizens of Nagpur.

Failing to contain the increasing pile of garbage being dumped in Telangkhedi aka Futala lake, Nagpur Municipal Corporation has sought ‘Gabbar’s’ help to alert the citizens, or threaten to be precise!

NMC has put up a display board at Futala lake, carrying the classic picture of Gabbar Singh asking his Sambha to alert citizens about the fine being imposed by NMC on throwing garbage in the lake.

The poster has generated a great deal of curiosity among the citizens.

Well we trust this attempt of NMC works effectively, like it has been attracting the visitors arriving at the lake.
