New Delhi: Responding to Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who termed terming the goods and services tax as ‘Gabbar Singh Tax’ at a rally in Gandhinagar on Monday, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said today that ‘those who are used to 2G, coal scam will have problems paying genuine tax’.
He made the remarks in reply to a question during a press conference on the state of economy in New Delhi.
Jaitley also said that the opposition parties’ devotion towards cash economy will be on display when they observe November 8 as ‘Black Day’.
Gandhi on Monday dubbed GST as ‘Gabbar Singh Tax’, naming it after Bollywood’s iconic villain as he fired a fresh salvo at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the sweeping tax reform and demonetistion.
