Three booked for fraud of Rs 12.52 lakh

Nagpur News: Hudkeshwar Police booked three persons for breaching the trust and duping people of Rs 12.52 lakh on the pretext of giving them jobs. According to police, accused Gagan Keshav Rahangdale, Keshav Rahangdale and Shrikant Mendule assured complainant Vinayak Bailak (35), a resident of Wadaipura, Munda, Kamptee and others to provide job in Balaji Institute of Educational Studies, situated Sai Krupa Apartment, Besa.

The accused took Rs 12.52 lakh from Vinayak and others between July 7, 2011 and April 9, 2013. After receiving the amount, the accused handed them a fake appointment letter. Vinayak and others joined the company. After a few days of joining, the institute was shut down and they were thrown out of their jobs. Gagan Rahangdale and his father Keshav Rahangdale were imposed themselves as director and secretary of the institute. When Vinayak and others demanded their money back from the accused, they gave lame excuses and looked skeptical in returning the money.

Sensing apprehension in returning their money, Vinayak lodged a complaint with Hudkeshwar Police Station. Police booked the accused and registered an offence under relevant sections of the IPC.
