Nagpur: Three girls of Nagpur ran away from their home in Wadi following a tiff with their 17-year-old elder sister.

According to police, the three sisters, aged 12, 5, and 3, decided to leave their home after an argument with their elder sister, which caused tension within the family. The 12-year-old sister, feeling overwhelmed, took her 5 and 3-year-old siblings and left the Wadi area on Saturday morning. Their journey started when the 12-year-old sister boarded an auto-rickshaw and asked to be taken to Mor Bhavan.

The concerned auto-rickshaw driver inquired about their parents’ whereabouts, to which the 12- year-old replied that they were waiting at Mor Bhavan. Trusting her words, the driver dropped them at a nearby bus stop, where they went to the Madhya Pradesh bus stand on foot. With the girls missing, their parents launched a search and later filed a complaint with the Wadi police. Fearing a case of kidnapping, police sprang into action, examining CCTV footage and conducting a thorough investigation.

However, the police soon discovered that the three sisters had actually headed towards Chhindwara to meet their aunt. The police successfully contacted them via mobile phone and confirmed their location, putting an end to the anxiety surrounding their disappearance. The girls’ father, who originally hails from Chhindwara, and his wife, both labourers in Wadi, expressed relief upon learning of their daughters’ safety.
