Trade Associations Should Be Made Part of Law Making Process : Dr. Dipen Agrawal

A delegation of Chamber of Associations of Maharashtra Industry and Trade (CAMIT) led by President, Dr.Dipen Agrawal met Chandrashekar Bawankule, State President, Bhartiya Janta Party(BJP), Maharashtra.

At the outset Dr.Dipen Agrawal, felicitated Chandrashekar Bawankule with Shawal& floral bouquet and extended best wishes to him on being appointed Maharashtra State President of BJP.

Dr.Dipen Agrawal said that every government has promised to actively engage with business community while framing rules and regulations concerning business. However very little is done in this regard or the few steps taken remain on paper. Dr. Agrawal requested Chandrashekar Bawankule to impress upon the state government and party to evolve a policy for mandatory pre-consultation with trade representatives before implementing any new business policy or rules and regulations or amending the present. Such consultation will increase acceptability of government policies among and ensure frictionless governance. He also discussed immediate issues of trade and industry which needs attention of the ruling party such as closure of LBT Department across the state, Plastic Bandi in tune with the guidelines of Central Pollution Control Board, Power subsidy to the backward regions of Vidarbha and Marathwada, Etc. The also delegation submitted a representation highlighting the above concerns to the State BJP President for his consideration and perusal

Dilip Thakral, Executive Member-CAMIT congratulating Bawankule said that BJP should do the needful to clear the backlog of Vidarbha region. The business community from Vidarbha expects that during his tenure as State president party shall bring new projects in the region.

Girish Liladia, Executive member-CAMIT said that he (Bawankule ji) should use his good offices and discuss with the state government to resolve issues of trade and industry and ensure ease of doing business in the state.

Chandrashekar Bawankule accepting his felicitation and best wishes said that he shall stand to the expectation of party leadership and people of Maharashtra to strengthen the party in the state and to bring balanced regional development in the state. He was confident that the state government will generate opportunities for entrepreneurs and youths and he also assured to address issues of Trade and industry on priority with the government.

The delegation thanked him for his valued time and patient hearing and positive assurance on the issues of trade .
