Nagpur: Heavy workload seems to have taken its toll when a Naik Police Constable attached toTraffic Branch died while on duty after suffering a heart attack on Friday. The deceased Ramdas Bansiji Thorat (44), resident of Raghuji Nagar Police Quarters, was attached to Zone III of Traffic Police. Ramdas along with other traffic policemen was on duty at Mahal square on Friday. Around 7 pm, Ramdas complained of severe chest pain and suddenly collapsed. His colleagues rushed him to nearby Chandak Hospital but doctors there referred Ramdas to Mayo Hospital. At Mayo, doctors pronounced him dead.
Based on information of Naresh Ramchandra Chaudhary (33) of Police Line Takli, Kotwali PSI Totewar has registered a case of accidental death.
