Nagpur:In preparation for the upcoming Navratri festival and to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety, Nagpur Traffic Police, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Archit Chandak, have imposed traffic restrictions on the busy Koradi Road near Mahadula T-Point. The restrictions will be in place from October 1 to October 31, 2024, within the Indora Traffic Zone.
Koradi Road, a major National Highway (NH-41) connecting Nagpur to Betul, experiences heavy traffic. The Mahadula T-Point area is particularly congested due to the high footfall of workers and a bustling local market. Additionally, the presence of Shri Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Temple in the Koradi region attracts a large number of devotees, further increasing the risk of traffic jams and potential accidents in the area.
There have been concerns about vehicles parked on the road, obstructing traffic, and large banners placed along Koradi Road that block the view of oncoming vehicles, posing serious safety risks. To mitigate these dangers, strict measures have been introduced, including a ban on parking and the display of banners within a 50-meter radius of Mahadula T-Point.
Key Traffic Restrictions:
– The 50-meter area around Mahadula T-Point and Koradi Road service lanes have been designated as no-parking zones.
– No banners or hoardings will be allowed in the 50-meter area around Mahadula T-Point and Koradi Road without prior approval from the relevant authorities.
These measures aim to reduce congestion and improve safety in the area during the busy festival season.
