Nagpur: A devastating explosion occurred at Chamundi Explosives Pvt. Ltd. in Dhamna, located on Amravati Road, Nagpur, around 1 PM on Thursday. The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of six people, including five women and one man, and left seven to eight others injured.
Reacting to the incident, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed his sorrow while speaking to the media. “The incident in Dhamna is unfortunate. Six people lost their lives in this tragedy. This has undoubtedly caused great sorrow. I have requested that no celebratory events, processions, or festivities be held due to this incident. I pray for the departed souls to find peace,” Gadkari stated.
After being sworn in as a Union Minister, Gadkari arrived in Nagpur yesterday. In light of the Dhamna explosion, he had already urged BJP workers to cancel any welcome ceremonies or processions. Despite his appeal, hundreds of party workers gathered at the airport to welcome him.
