Sadly, Hasina Sitaram Bagdiya succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.

Following the incident, Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravinder Singal took action on Wednesday, suspending Senior Police Inspector Vijay Dighe, the In-Charge of Wathoda Police Station, citing alleged dereliction of duty.

Senior PI Dighe, who was the investigating officer in the case, faced criticism for mishandling the matter. Despite arresting Bhushan Naresh Lanjewar and his five friends — Vansh Raju Zade (19), Sanmay Digambar Patrikar (20), Atharva Banait (20), Rishikesh Dhananjay Choubey (20), and Atharwa Mogre (19) — who were also in the Hyundai Verna car (MH-46/X-8498) at the time of the incident, Dighe reportedly failed to collect crucial forensic evidence and delayed the suspects’ medical examination.

The Commissioner of Police had received multiple complaints against Dighe prior to his suspension.
