Mumbai/Nagpur: Pravin Datke, BJP MLC, has alleged that numerous resorts and hotels have been developed in Nagpur, Chandrapur, Amravati, and Gadchiroli districts using fake documents purportedly belonging to tribals. In response, Minister R. Vikhe Patil has announced an inquiry to be conducted by the Divisional Commissioners of Nagpur and Amravati.

Additionally, there have been reports of significant environmental damage, including the cutting down of heritage trees and the illegal destruction of forests, rivers, and lakes for resort development in Tadoba Andheri, Pench, Melghat, and Umred Karhandla Tiger Reserves. The inquiry is expected to address these environmental concerns as well.
