Nagpur News: A cleaner was killed on the spot when the truck he was traveling in collided against a trailer on Tuesday night.
According to police, the victim Subbarao (50) was travelling in the cabin of the truck (AP-16/TW 8978) driven by Omkar. When the truck reached in front of Oriental Company on Outer Ring Road, Omkar, who was driving the truck at breakneck speed, lost control of the steering and crashed into a trailer from behind. Subbarao was killed on the spot due to the impact. The truck driver Omkar ran away from the spot leaving Subbarao in a pool of blood on the road.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by another cleaner Laxman Vyankatesh (50), Nandanvan police have registered an offence under Sections 279, and 304 (a) read with sub sections 134 and 177 of Motor Vehicle Act against Omkar.
