Nagpur: Parking his truck on middle of road and attending nature’s call proved fatal for a driver as he was crushed to death by another oncoming tipper truck. The freak mishap occurred on Friday night in Kalamna area.
The victim, Gajanan Tulshiram Sarkate (47), resident of Kapil Nagar, Nagpur, was taking his truck (MH-31/CB 7702) towards Bhandara Road on Friday. Midway, around 11 pm, Gajanan stopped his truck near Tirupati Bar, Kapsi Flyover, for attending nature’s call. Even as he had just descended on the road, a speeding tipper truck of yellow colour hit Gajanan and crushed him under wheels. He died on the spot. The unidentified driver, along with his killer truck, did not stop and fled the spot. Kalamna police reached the spot on being informed about the accident and sent body of Gajanan for post-mortem.

API Thakur, based on a complaint, registered an offence against the unidentified tipper truck driver under Section 304(A) of IPC read with Sub-Sections 134, 177 of Motor Vehicles Act and searching for him.
on the complaint, booked the accused Himanshu Umbarkar under Sections 376, 506(B) of IPC and investigating the matter further.
