Nagpur: While Yashodhara Nagar and Jaripatka areas witnessed brutal murders on Thursday, two attempt to murder cases were also reported in Imambada area the same day. An elderly was attacked over petty issue while a middle-aged man has suffered injuries.
Imambada police said, Nilesh Kiran Ambadare (30) put up a quarrel with Rajesh Shivshankar Borkar (50), a resident of Indira Nagar, Jat Tarodi, on Thursday at around 8.45 pm. Nilesh hurled profanities and in a fit of rage, he took out a sharp-edged weapon and attacked him. Rajesh has sustained skin deep injuries at his neck and legs. He was rushed to a government hospital for treatment.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by Rohit Borkar (19), cops have registered an offence under Sections 307 and 504 of the IPC and booked the accused.
Another case was also registered by Imambada police where a middle-aged man was attacked over a petty issue. Police said, the accused Atul Gopal Patil (20), a resident of Rambagh, was sitting beside public toilet at around 8.45 pm on Thursday. Amol Govindrao Bagde (32), a resident of Rambagh, behind Kamgar Bhavan, who was standing near his house, asked the accused to move from his position. The accused got angry over this interruption and attacked Amol with a knife that he was carrying. Amol was stabbed on his abdomen, hands and shoulders. The accused ran away from the scene leaving Amol in a pool of blood. Nearby commuters rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Imambada police have registered an offence under Sections 307 of the IPC against the youth.
