Two brothers assault man with sword over petty issue in Jaripatka, one arrested

Nagpur: Two brothers attacked a man with sword and injured him severely in Jaripatka area on Monday night. One of the accused brothers has been arrested.

The complainant, Anil Sambhaji Deshmukh (38), resident of Indora, Kamptee Road, told police that he was sitting near Mahadeo Temple around 8 pm on Monday. At that time, he saw the two accused brothers Akshay Baban Uike (21) and Akash Baban Uike, both residents of Balkrushna Mohalla, Indora, beating his younger brother Rakesh. Anil immediately rushed to the spot and tried to intervene in the quarrel. But instead of heeding to intervention, the two accused brothers attacked Anil with a sword and inflicted injuries on his both hands and fingers. After the attack, the two brothers fled the spot.

Jaripatka PSI S R Mishra booked the accused brothers under Sections 326, 34 of the IPC and managed to nab Akshay Uike. Search is on to apprehend the other accused.
