Nagpur: A 26-year old boy was attacked murderously by two sword wielding brothers over old rivalry. The bloody incident occurred near Skating Ground, Gandhinagar around 8.30 pm on Sunday. No arrests have been made in the crime so far.
The victim, Rajesh Ramkumar Upadhyay (26), resident of Plot No. 117, near Hanuman Temple, Gandhinagar, was returning home after having ‘Kharra’ from a nearby Pan Thela. When Rajesh reached near the Skating Ground in the area, the two accused brothers Sachin and Bipin Somkuwar, assaulted him with swords. The brother duo inflicted deep wounds on Rajesh’s back and hands with the motive of killing him over old enmity. After the bloody attack, the two Somkuwar brothers fled the spot and since then went absconding. In the meanwhile, the profusely bleeding Rajesh was rushed to a private hospital where he is recuperating.
Ambazari PSI Lakde, based on a statement given by Rajesh, has booked the accused Somkuwar brothers under Sections 307, 34 of IPC read with Sub-Section 4+25 of Arms Act and hunting the absconding duo.
