Two commit suicide in Imambada, Ganeshpeth

In separate incidents, Imambada and Ganeshpeth police stations registered two accidental death cases under their jurisdiction on Tuesday. However the two men were understood to have committed suicide.

In the first case, body a 46-year-old man was found floating in the overhead water tank, near TB ward in Ganeshpeth on Tuesday night. The deceased has been identified as Harun Aziz Khan (46), a resident of Azad Colony, Bada Tajabad. Imambada police, who are investigating the case, informed that Harun’s body was noticed by nearby residents who informed the cops. Cops registered a case of accidental death after sending the body for post-mortem to Government Medical College and Hospital.

In the second case, a body of 38-year-old man was found floating in Gandhisagar lake on Tuesday evening. The deceased Dinesh Balkrishna Badge (38) was a resident of Plot No. 51/A, Karuna Nagar, Karapeth, Lakadganj.

As per details, commuters located the floating body of Dinesh on Tuesday evening at around 7 pm. Ganeshpeth police was informed after which they rushed to the spot and fished out the body from the lake. Cops performed the panchanama and sent the body for post mortem to Government Medical College and Hospital.

Cops have started their investigations and registered a case of accidental death.
