Nagpur: The Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Nagpur Rural Police busted two drug peddlers in Butibori area and confiscated 86 kg of ganja (marijuana) worth over Rs 8.60 lakh from their four-wheeler.
The accused have been identified as Ikram Hussain Iqbal Hussain (21), a resident of Fatehganj, District- Baraili, Uttar Pradesh and Rajkumar Ashokkumar Siwar (19), a resident of Kalubas Dongargarh, Bikaner, Rajasthan.
According to police, a police team was patrolling the area when they grew suspicious on a four-wheeler (UP-84/F8205) in the wee hours of Monday. They stopped the vehicle and recovered a bag containing ganja. The accused were quickly arrested by the police. Interrogation revealed that the two were ferrying the narcotics from Telangana to Delhi.
A case under Sections 20, 22 of NDPS Act was registered by the police. Under the guidance of SP Harssh Poddar, Addl SP Dr Sandip Pakhale, the arrest was made by PI LCB Omprakash Kokate, PSI Ashish Morkhade, ASI Mahesh Jadhav, and staff including Arvind Bhagat, Gajendra Choudhary, Milind Nandurkar, Sanjay Bante, Mayur Dhekle, Satyashil Kothare, Amrut Kinge, Rakesh Talewar, Ashutosh Lanjewar, Sumit Bangde.
