Two duped of 4.5 lakh with false Government job promise

Nagpur: Dhantoli police have registered a case against 3 suspects for allegedly cheating 2 youths to the tune of Rs 4.5 lakh by promising them government jobs.

Complainant Amol Bhaktprahlad Shedekar (29) resident of Hudkeshwar came in contact with accused Manohar Kachela (55), resident of Riddhi Siddhi Apartments, Shashtri Nagar, Chandrapur and his two accomplices Jayant Madhukar Karu (63) resident of Surendra Nagar, Nagpur and Hasmukh Ranchod Kariya (70) resident of Aanad Bhavan, Dharampeth after his friend Akshay Gourikar introduced them, who were reportedly he’s uncle’s friends.

The accused had reportedly introduced himself as government official to the aspirant. He also claimed that he has lots of associates in forest department, thus he could reward the complainant job. An unsuspecting victim fell into the trap and agreed to pay them for getting a government job. Subsequently the victim also draws his friend into this mess. The youths were cheated between Nov 2017 and Feb 2018, to the tune of Rs 4,50,000.

However when accused failed to deliver any sort of jobs to the aspirant the victim learnt the truth. However accused Manodar sought some time but never returned the amount. Annoyed by which, Amol approached Ganeshpeth police station.

Ganeshpeth police have registered a case of fraud under relevant sections and started further probe.
