Two girls steal away Rs 80,000 from elderly man accompanying them in auto ride

Nagpur.

In a true-blue Bollywood style, two young girls might have taken a clue from Friday’s release Dolly ki Doli, in which the female protagonist Sonam Kapoor enacts as bride to con her prospects. These two girls slipped away with Rs 80,000 cash from the possession of an elderly man who was riding an auto-rickshaw along with his wife in Sonegaon area. The elderly man named Anant Ahmedabadkar, 72, rushed to the Sonegaon police station and lodged his complaint.

Police sources informed that Ahmedabadkar had withdrawn Rs 1 lakh from RBI Co-operative Society on Thursday. He gave Rs 20,000 to his wife while keeping rest of Rs 80,000 in his jacket’s pocket. Both of them then proceeded towards auto stand at Sitabuldi and got into the shared auto-rickshaw in which the two women were already seated.
