Two goons slap woman, snatch “Mangalsutra” worth Rs 1,20,000 from her in Shivaji Nagar

Nagpur News: A 30-year old woman was slapped and her “Mangalsutra” was snatched by the criminals in the posh Shivaji Nagar on Wednesday.

According to police, the woman, Namrata Shitij Bonde (30), resident of 98, Himalaya Park, Shivaji Nagar, was going to take English classes. When she reached near Shivaji Nagar Garden, very near from her house at about 1625 of Wednesday, two motorcycle borne youths slapped her with great force, and even before Namrata could recover from the sudden incident, her “Mangalsutra” worth Rs 1,20,000 was snatched by the goons and speeded away.

The Ambajhari Police has booked the unidentified goons under Sections 392, 34 of the IPC and is searching for the chain-snatchers.
