Mumbai: Two life guards at Aksa beach today saved three young men who were stuck on a rock due to high tide.
Three men from local Malvani area had gone at Dana Pani, a rocky beach near Aksa during low tide at around 7.30-8am.
“We usually patrol in Dana Pani beach from Aksa beach as many people got stuck due to high tied. So this point is always under our observation. At 10am we saw three men standing at a rock and asking for help. Swatej Kolambkar and I rescued three persons from drowning. colleague Swatej went to Dana Pani beach by at with help of life jackets and rubber rings resecued them,” said lifeguard Nathuram Suryavanshi.
This isn’t the first time such an incident has occured. Authorities have put a board at these beaches asking people not to enter the sea.
Shaikh Astaf Iqbal (30), Shaikh Rahim (24) and Suraj Prasad (25) are the three youths rescued.
