Nagpur: A team of Unit-3 of the Crime Branch of Nagpur Police nabbed two burglars involved in stealing Rs 3.50 lakh cash from a shop in Tehsil area.
The accused have been identified as Sonu alias Shiv Sheshrao Gokhale (25), a resident of Gulshan Nagar, Kalamna and Nikesh Balraj Shahu (22), a resident of Kundanlal Gupta Nagar. Sonu and Nikesh had burgled Rs 3.50 lakh cash from Prakash Steel Centre at Khatikpura, Jagnath Budhwari, in the small hours of January 23 this year.
Following a complaint lodged by shop owner Prakash Bhamode, Tehsil Police had registered a case under Sections 454, 457, 380, 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Cops attached to Unit-3 of the Crime Branch got information that Sonu and Nikesh had stolen the cash from the shop. A team of Unit-3 nabbed them.
During interrogation, both confessed to stealing the cash. The team then recovered Rs 10,110 cash from Sonu and Nikesh and also seized a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle (MH49/BU-1619) worth Rs 80,000 used by them for committing the burglary. The accused duo was later handed over to Tehsil Police for further investigation.
