Two accused prisoners abused, thrashed and threatened to kill a policeman who was taking them to jail. The incident occurred right in front of Central Jail gate at about 1 pm on Wednesday. Now, the accused prisoners have been booked under fresh charges apart from facing the old charges for which they were in jail.
The two accused prisoners Gaurav Chakole and Abhishek Dekore were produced in a court for an offence registered against them. After producing the accused, the Police Constable Pandurang Marotrao Jaipurkar, attached to Police Headquarters, and other staff was taking them to Central Jail. When they reached in from the jail gate, the two accused suddenly started abusing and thrashing the police constable Jaipurkar. The accused even caught hold of Jaipurkar’s collar and threatened to kill him.

Dhantoli Senior PSI Meshre, based on a complaint lodged by Jaipurkar, has booked the two accused Gaurav Chakole and Abhishek Dekore under Sections 353, 294, 506 of IPC. Now, the two accused are in prison with new charges slapped on them.
