Two senior citizens killed in road mishap

Nagpur: Two senior citizens were killed in separate road mishaps. According to police sources, the deceased are identified as Chaganlal Chandrikapure aged 72 years and a resident of Mahendra Nagar, Panchpaoli Nagpur and the second deceased is identified as Nana Pundalik Adipurkar aged 67 years and a resident of Defence Quarters, Wadi Nagpur.

In the first incident, on February 24, 2016, the deceased Chaganlal Chandrikapure was going on his cycle to his home. Hit opposite to PWS College, an unidentified motorcyclist hit the deceased from the rear and sped away from the spot. The injured Chaganlal Chandrikapure was admitted to Wockardt Hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries on March 3, 2016. His son Mukesh Chandrikapure lodged a case with Jaripatka Police Station after a period of two weeks. On the basis of his complaint, the cops of Jaripatka Police Station have registered a case against unidentified persons and are investigating further.

The second incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Wadi Police Station. On March 17, 2016 at around 2 pm, Nana Pundalik Adipulkar aged 67 and a resident of Defence Quarters was going home, riding on a Bajaj Scooter MH-31/ AM 7115. When he reached Bharat Apartment, Raghpati Nagar on Nagpur-Amravati Road, the rider on a two wheeler bearing RTO Registration No MH-40/ D 5980 hit his scooter head-on while travelling on the wrong side.

Nana Adipulkar was injured critically and he died on the spot. On the basis of the complaint lodged by the son of Nana Adipulkar, Manoj Adipulkar, Wadi Police has registered a case against the absconding two-wheeler rider and are investigating further.
