Ashish Anil Pandey (22) and Amardeep Singh Krushna Singh (22) were proceeding to Kalmeshwar from Nagpur on their Karizma Motorcycle (M H 31/ CU 6385). When both Ashish and Amardeep reached near Hanuman Temple in front of New Katol Post under Gittikhadan Police Station, a truck, driven speedily and rashly, hit their motorcycle with intense impact. Ashish and Amardeep were hurled in the air and crashed on the road with great force. Both youths suffered serious injuries and died on the spot.

Nagpur News: A ghastly road accident sniffed out lives of two budding youths when the motorcycle they were riding in was rammed by a recklessly driven truck in the wee hours on Sunday (March 30).

According to police, the victims, Ashish Anil Pandey (22), native of Jharkhand but now residing in Flat No. E/11, Ambazari Layout, Nagpur as tenant of Fullari and Amardeep Singh Krushna Singh (22), native of Udaipur, Jammu, Army Quarters, now staying in Alahadi Boys’ Hostel, CRPF Gate No. 3, Police Nagar, Hingna Road, Nagpur, were proceeding to Kalmeshwar on their Karizma Motorcycle (M H 31/ CU 6385). When both Ashish and Amardeep reached near Hanuman Temple in front of New Katol Post under Gittikhadan Police Station, a truck, driven speedily and rashly, hit their motorcycle with intense impact. Ashish and Amardeep were hurled in the air and crashed on the road with great force. Both youths suffered serious injuries and died on the spot. The unidentified truck driver fled the spot along with his vehicle immediately after hitting the motorcycle.

Both Ashish and Amardeep were reported to be students of Raisoni Engineering College.

Gittikhadan police, acting on the complaint of Pranay Bhattacharya (22), native of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh but now residing in Flat No. E/11, Ambazari Layout, Nagpur as tenant of Fullari, have registered an offence against the truck driver under Sections 279, 304(A) of the IPC and under Sections 134, 177 of Motor Vehicles Act. PSI Munde is investigating the matter further.
