Two teenage girls kidnapped, raped at knife-point in Nagpur

Nagpur: Wathoda Police in Nagpur arrested two men for allegedly kidnapping and raping two teenage girls, including a minor, at knife point.

The arrested accused are Ramdayal Pancham Tandekar (27), a resident of Wathoda, and Rohan Ashok Binjre (20), a resident of Asoli, district Gondia.

According to police, the accused duo was known to one of the victims who is 18-year-old, and was residing in the Wathoda area. She was a friend of the 14-year-old girl staying in the same locality. Ramdayal and Roshan called the two girls to Kharbi around 12 noon on May 1. After the two girls came, they took them on separate motorcycles on the pretext of going for an outing.

As per planning, Ramdayal and Rohan took the girls to a house near Surya Nagar in Hudkeshwar area. They latched the house from inside. At knife point, Ramdayal raped the 18-year-old girl while Rohan sexually assaulted the minor girl. The two culprits threatened to kill the two rape victims and their families if they disclosed the incident to anyone and left the place.

After the minor girl narrated her ordeal to her mother, the latter lodged a complaint against Ramdayal and Rohan. Police, on the basis of the complaint, registered a case under Sections 363, 376(2)( J), 506 (B) of the Indian Penal Code, read with Sections 4, 8, 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, against Ramdayal and Rohan and took them into custody. Further investigations are underway.
