Two youths arrested in waylaying case

MIDC police arrested two youths involved in waylaying.

Rahul Satish Upadhyay (20), a resident of Minimata Nagar, was on his way to drop his friend Vijendra Bharat Roy (21) on his bike (MH 31 DA 3095). Two youths stopped him near Balaji Nagar, Radke layout, in front of Hanuman Mandir and demanded money to consume liquor. They thrashed the Rahul and Bharat and snatched away Rs 1500 cash and his micromax mobile phones.

Rahul immediately informed MIDC police about the incidence who started the investigations after registering a case under Sections 392, 323, 34 and 504 of the IPC. They launched a search for the accused and later arrested them. The accused were Pradeep Shyamlal Verma (19), a resident of Vaishali Nagar and Shivam Omprakash Singh (18), a resident of Rai Town.
