Nagpur: “The condition of Uddhav Thackeray in the Maha Vikas Aghadi has worsened, and it is painful to see his plight. His situation resembles that of the jailer in the film Sholay. No one is left behind him. He is in a state similar to “Koi Lauta De Mere Beete Hue Din,” said BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
Bawankule was speaking to the media in Nagpur. “No one is willing to make Uddhav Thackeray the Chief Minister. The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will not allow Uddhav Thackeray to become the Chief Minister. He was Chief Minister for two and a half years, but the mistake he made in 2019 still haunts him. Therefore, the leaders in MVA will not take any risks now. Due to not being consulted on seat distribution, Uddhav Thackeray’s condition has become very dire and is hard to watch. No one in the Maha Vikas Aghadi is ready to make him the Chief Minister. He is now begging Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and other Congress leaders to announce a name for the Chief Minister position. However, the alliance leaders will not allow Uddhav Thackeray to become the Chief Minister,” Bawankule said.
“The Shiv Sena founded by Balasaheb Thackeray was rooted in Hindu ideology. The ideologies of the Congress and the NCP never resonated with him. Uddhav Thackeray left us to join Sharad Pawar and Nana Patole, and now he is trying to increase his influence by putting pressure on the Maha Vikas Aghadi. However, the alliance leaders do not include him,” Bawankule added.
Bawankule said, “Uddhav Thackeray has been used and thrown by Sharad Pawar. Thackeray was taken away from BJP in 2019 and the only agenda was to make him Chief Minister. He became Chief Minister but now his utility for Sharad Pawar and Congress is over. His condition is such that he is running behind Pawar and Congress. He is nowhere now.”
In response to criticism regarding the removal of names from the voter list, BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule stated that the Maha Vikas Aghadi is staring defeat in the upcoming Assembly elections, prompting its leaders, who usually talk about EVMs, to now discuss the voter list.”
“While we are urging the public to increase voter turnout to strengthen democracy, we are being accused of removing names from the voter list. Leaders from Congress went to court to revoke the voting rights of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray. Now, by staying with Congress, Uddhav Thackeray is not implementing his own agenda but rather Congress’s agenda, Bawankule said.
“Since there are no disputes among us, we do not rush to call urgent meetings. Such urgent meetings can be called by Uddhav Thackeray,” he concluded.
