Unidentified four-wheeler kills 3-and-a-half-year-old boy near Santra Market, Nagpur

Nagpur: The Ganeshpeth Police have launched a probe into a hit-and-run case where a three-and-a-half-year-old boy was killed on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Aadi Chaku Malgaar.

According to police sources, the complainant, Ghachhali Sanjit Malgaar (28), a resident of Prakash Nagar, Chandrapur, along with her relatives, is staying in a hut near Santra Market and works as a laborer. On Sunday night, when everyone was inside the hut, Aadi reportedly went out without anyone’s knowledge. At around 8 pm, some unidentified four-wheeler reportedly struck him on the road and zoomed away from the spot.

Aadi was subsequently rushed to Mayo Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Following Ghachhali’s complaint, the police have registered a case under Sections 279 and 304(A) of the IPC read with Subsection 134(A)(B) and 184 of the Motor Vehicle Act. The manhunt for the accused is ongoing.
